Back on Track

SelfPub22_800px
After an amazing Christmas break, I am back on track with the blog.  I hope everyone else is ready to go too.  The YA Group had an awesome meeting last night at Orange Leaf.  Greyson and Emily read sections of new novels they are in the process of writing.  Meredith and Nick shared ideas for their new books, and new member, Elyse shared her Prose entry to the Thea Foundation with the group.   We discussed the Snowflake strategy for planning a novel and the Heroes Journey.  Contracts for the short stories were turned in to me, and I will be submitting those to Mr. Tommy today.  Hopefully, the editing process will begin soon.  I can't wait for the book!

Kudos and many thanks to the management at Orange Leaf for giving YA Group participants a discount on their wonderfully, magnificent yogurt.  I really love it!

There is a new competition out by Writer's Digest for self-published works, and I know we have at least one member, maybe more who would qualify for this.  Victoria, I hope you enter your self-published book, Torn.  For others, I don't know about, here are the details:

Whether you’re a professional writer, a part-time freelancer or a self-starting student, here’s your chance to enter the premier self-published competition exclusively for self-published books.
